Where History Comes to Life
History comes to life at the History Museum during A Night At The Museum. The event is by invitation only, and the “A” list includes Gaspar de Portolá, Father Crespi, Adeline Mills Easton, Harriet Pullman Carolan, Ethel Crocker, Francisco Sanchez -- just to name a few. The evening may provide an opportunity for people like prize fighter Chris Lilly, oyster pirate Jack London, and ‘Shingle King’ Purdy Pharis, (who died under some strange circumstances), to redeem their shady pasts and reputations, or sink to an even lower level.
At least 35 special guests from the annals of San Mateo County history have accepted an exclusive invitation to A Night at The Museum.
Schedule
The evening will include a rousing reception, open bar, catered buffet, live entertainment with 35 character actors and a Rotunda Remix Dance Party.
Dress
Dress at A Night at the Museum is black tie or period costume optional. Some costume shops are offering museum members discounts on rentals and sales of costumes. More >
