Love and Marriage: Victorian Style
Courtroom A at 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Love and Marriage: Victorian Style explores courtship rituals, wedding traditions and marriages of millionaires. Set during an engagement party at a Peninsula estate, guests gossip about other famous couples of the Peninsula. While the ladies complain about how difficult it is to find a good man, the gentleman bemoan another poor fellow being trapped into marriage.
The play is based on research conducted in the Historical Association archives. While the characters are fictional, the couples they discuss lived on the Peninsula in the late 1800s.
