Sanchez Adobe
Don Francisco Sanchez, owner of Rancho San Pedro, built the Sanchez Adobe between 1842-1846. Today, it is a San Mateo County Park operated by the San Mateo County Historical Association.
During the school program, students experience life on a Californio rancho as they make adobe bricks, dip candles, grind corn and rope a 'cow.'
Celebrate Mexican California during the Rancho Day Fiesta. Enjoy early Californian music and dancers, real rancho food and make it yourself crafts and demonstrations.
Hotel San Pedro
In the early 1900s, a restaurant at the Sanchez Adobe catered to travelers on the Ocean Short Railroad. During Prohibition, Hotel San Pedro was a speakeasy.
Quilt Show
On October 20-21, the Sanchez Adobe Docents present the Annual Quilt Show. The textiles shown are historic quilts from the San Mateo County Historical Association's collection and new ones made by the Sanchez Adobe Docents and members of the Mizpah Fellowship.
