Staff and volunteers are available to give presentations on topics pertaining to local history at your location. Topics could include:

  • Activities of the San Mateo County Historical Association.
  • Spanish exploration.
  • The Great Estates.
  • The Era of Prohibition and Gambling.
  • Films from the Archives.

Historic Reenactment

Presenters come in character to talk about local history.

Docent Tom Brennan, in the role of 19th century farmer and politician Timothy Guy Phelps, will recount the founding of San Mateo County.

Docent Robert Strode brings to life John C. Fremont. Discover how this soldier and politician influenced the Gold Rush and the role he played in making California the 31st state.
