Hands-On History
Wheat Weaving


Wheat WeavingInternationally known wheat
weaver and instructor Jan Huss will talk about the history of wheat weaving,
the connection between
wheat-weaving and hat decoration, types of grain that may be used for
wheat-weaving, and different styles of this craft.
During the lecture, she will
present several styles. In the second half of the class, Huss will lead students through creating their own
wheat-weaving project.

 

Hands-On History
A quarterly series of hands-on workshops for adults held in the San Mateo County History Museum's Wells Fargo Learning Center.
